Event Description
Seminar Overview
With the 2025 filing season over, there is still doubt and confusion about whether returns have been done correctly. Did your clients properly calculate “no tax on tips” for employees? Were credit card tips included as tax free? If not, should issues be re-visited and affected client returns amended? With multiple revisions in IRS guidance on tax free overtime, did you calculate that deduction properly? Or could the IRS flag it? And what about the avalanche of CP53E notices? Should you really ignore them as the IRS advises? Or should you delve deeper into them to insure they won’t become a headache with 2026 returns? Now is the time to revisit those issues and more with our IRS expert, GEAR UP’s Rick Oelerich, as he brings clarity to how these and other IRS reporting issues are handled, how and IF you should amend returns, and most importantly, what to do now to insure 2026 reporting is “audit proof.” Rick will also offer tax planning advice to help clients minimize what they pay, and he’ll answer your questions in this fast-paced virtual CPE event.
