Event Description
Seminar Overview
With the 2025 filing season over, there is still doubt and confusion about whether returns have been done correctly. What can we do to insure 2026 1099s are correct when calculated and issued? Are your clients properly calculating “no tax on tips” for employees? Are credit card tips included as tax free? With multiple revisions in IRS guidance on tax free overtime, are you calculating that deduction properly? What about the avalanche of CP53E notices? Should you really ignore them as the IRS advises or should you delve deeper to insure they won’t become a headache? Now is the time to revisit those issues and more with our IRS expert, GEAR UP’s Rick Oelerich, as he brings clarity to how these and other IRS reporting issues are handled, how and IF you should amend 2025 returns, and most importantly, what to do now to insure 2026 reporting is “audit proof.” Rick also gives tax planning advice to help clients minimize what they pay, and he’ll answer your questions in this fast-paced virtual CPE event.
